CVC _ip Word Family Packet focuses on early reading strategies, such as decoding word patterns, onsets and rimes, phonemic awareness, fluency, blending and segmenting sounds, and writing sounds to build words in kindergarten and 1st grade.
These word family activities highlight 5 -ip words, while also exposing other _ip family words throughout. There are blackline worksheets for homework, morning work, or whole-class review, a colorful self-checking center activity, word cards for a focus wall, a reading assessment, and a writing assessment over the 5 words presented.
