Pre-K & Kindergarten Membership Scope & Sequence

The Little Learning Corner® Membership provides developmentally appropriate literacy, math, writing, fine motor, and classroom engagement activities for Pre-K and Kindergarten learners.

Resources provide repeated practice with foundational skills while allowing teachers to differentiate instruction based on student readiness and classroom needs.

A Flexible Approach

This scope and sequence serves as an instructional framework rather than a prescribed curriculum. Skills are introduced, practiced, and revisited throughout the year. Monthly resources may vary as the membership continues to grow and respond to teacher and student needs.

How Skills Are Taught

Spiral Review + Developmental Differentiation

Foundational skills are revisited throughout the year rather than taught once and considered complete. This repeated exposure gives young learners multiple opportunities to practice, strengthen, and apply developing skills.

Activities can also be adapted for different developmental levels. During a writing activity, one student may draw a picture and dictate a sentence while another independently writes a complete sentence. Math activities may offer different number ranges or levels of difficulty, allowing teachers to choose the option that best supports their students.

Enrichment

Because student readiness varies considerably in Pre-K and Kindergarten, teachers are encouraged to adjust pacing and select activities based on student needs rather than following a rigid calendar.
