2. It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
If you are looking for scary Halloween movies, you will never find this one on those lists. This classic Halloween movie follows the Peanuts characters as they celebrate Halloween and Linus as he awaits the arrival of The Great Pumpkin.
3. Hotel Transylvania
Monsters need a vacation sometimes too and Hotel Transylvania is where they can go to really let loose. Count Dracula owns this resort and invites his crew of monster friends to relax and celebrate his daughter’s birthday. Festivities get complicated when a human crashes the party!

These little monsters try to get their human neighbors ready and excited for Halloween! They know better than anyone that there is nothing to be afraid of on Halloween night and do their best to help their nervous friends!

One of the most popular and best Halloween movies of the past twenty years, this film follows a trio of witches played by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Nagimy.
The trio is awoken on Halloween night after being asleep for hundreds of years and goes on a hunt to capture the children of Salem in order to extend their youth and beauty.
**NOTICE** The characters refer to virgins often throughout the movie. Personally, as a parent and teacher, I don’t feel that is appropriate for young kids.
22. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
Harry Potter grew up with his very normal Aunt and Uncle only to discover that he is a wizard on his eleventh birthday. In this Harry Potter movie, Harry is finally able to discover the wonderful world of magic that has been hidden from him his entire life when he starts attending school at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Not everything is perfect as he discovers some dark secrets about his history that are making their way into the present.
23. The Nightmare Before Christmas
Jack Skellington is Hallweentown’s revered Pumpkin King and he is bored of his same old spooky routine. The task of frightening humans just does not excite him anymore so he goes on an adventure to discover something new and get him excited about life. He stumbles upon Christmastown- the opposite of the world he has always been apart of. In Christmas town there’s a different guy in charge – Santa Claus.
24. The Little Vampire
The Little Vampire is a good Halloween movie for anyone who loves vampires! A young human named Tony makes friends with a young vampire named Rudolph. They go on an adventure to find an ancient amulet that can make Rudolph and his family’s dream come true — it can make them human again.
