It’s a September Birthday Sale
It’s my birthday week, and I am sharing the love with all of you! To celebrate the big 4-1, I am having a week-long TPT September birthday sale. Yes, friends, you get to celebrate with me 🙂 Well, ok, let’s be real….at 41, I do not celebrate my birthday all week long. Actually, I’m not sure that I’ve ever done that. At this age, I enjoy the small things…such as a hand-drawn card from my girls, a simple surprise from my husband, shopping at Costco’s with my dad, a nail day with my mom, and an almond cake from Giant Eagle. It’s about being grateful for another year with family and friends.
Since I am grateful for all of the support you have shown me on Little Learning Corner, I have set my ENTIRE Teachers Pay Teachers store on sale so you can enjoy the week, too 🙂

Primarily geared towards PreK through second grade, there are a variety of resources including Question of the Day, task cards, I Have Who Has games, no-prep writing centers, Build a Poems (my favorite), sight word cards, Making Words, and so much more. Here are just a few of my top-selling and favorite resources that you can snag on sale! Check out my Little Learning Corner TPT Store, here.
Question of the Day
Oh, the love I have for Question of the Day. This resource took SO long to create, but every second was so worth it. For years, I would try and come up with my own question – at the last minute while the kiddos were joining at the carpet for morning meeting. Finally, I sat down, created an outline of topics the kids enjoyed most, aligned them to the seasons and kindergarten curriculum, and solved the problem so many other teachers were having, as well.
Everything is done for you, including a table of contents, so you can quickly find the themed-based question you are looking for. You grab it while it’s on sale, or try a week out for free. Sale or Freebie…either way, try it 🙂 Your kids will love it!
Daily Math Talks
Number talks, also known as math talks, are a short time frame dedicated to have purposely crafted talks about math. These Math Talk Cards are one of my best selling, and top-rated, resources. If you want to know more about number talks, watch the video or read my blog post about: 5 Tips for Number Talks.
Making Words
If you have been following my stories on Instagram or Facebook, then you know that my Making Words Bundle is about to get a huge addition. Eek! I’m pretty excited about this. When you think of Making Words, you may think of the practice of giving kids a series of letters and seeing how many words they can make using only those letter. That is not the case with my Making Words resources.
When teaching kindergarten, I wanted to create a resource my students could work on INDEPENDENTLY at a center. This was so important to me, because too often, I would be interrupted by students while I was working with a guided reading group. Most of the interruptions were because the center activities were not created for independent work.

Making words is a no-prep independent writing center for PreK, Kindergarten, and first grade. Students build, write, and draw themed vocabulary words.
Introducing….my Making Words! The students cut and paste the letter tiles at the bottom of the page to build the themed vocabulary word at the top. Then, they write the word and draw a picture. If you do a lot of cut and paste activities, you’ll want to check out my other blog post: “The Best Tip for Cut and Paste Activities”
To differentiate the activity, I would challenge my higher students to write a sentence using the vocabulary word, rather than simply copying it. And, as a bonus, I’ve also included illustrated vocabulary cards with every Making Words resource. These word cards are great in writing centers, pocket charts, on word walls, in a separate word work center, etc.
The Bundle, which saves you a TON of money, is also included in my birthday sale. Your word work or writing centers can be done for the whole year. This Making Words Bundle includes:
- Back to School

Building Sentences
I created Building Sentences as an extension of my Making Words. I wanted students to, in addition to building words, work on concepts of print and build early fluency skills.
Building Sentences are printable worksheet activities reinforce non-fiction, or informational, text, emergent reading and writing skills, concepts of print, sight words, punctuation, and illustrating to represent sentences. Great practice for retelling, running records, and leveled readers.
Students use word tiles to build 10 sentences for each themed set: one sentence on each page. When done, they draw an illustration, and write the sentence.
Level 1: worksheets include the sentence at the top of the page.
Level 2: worksheets do not have the sentences printed. The students identify the word tiles, and put the words in order to make a sentence on their own.
This Building Sentences Bundle, as well as other themes, are discounted for my birthday sale. Grab your bundle, HERE.
Task Cards
Task Cards are so much fun! If you have never used Task Cards, you may want to check out my blog, “How to Use Task Cards in the Classroom.”
I have a large collection of Task Cards in my TPT store, ranging from fives frames and beginning sounds to double digit addition and Fact and Opinion activities.
