What is Kindergarten Crate?
Kindergarten Crate is a “box of the month” teacher subscription club. Each month you will receive a themed box geared to the grade level that you sign up for (PreK, kindergarten, or 1st grade). The box will arrive the last week of each month, and is meant for use the following month. Watch the video below to see what’s included in the September box for teachers.
What’s included in the monthly subscription box for teachers?
Every seasonal Kindergarten Crate box includes treats for the teacher, a read-aloud book, and student activities and supplies to go along with the book. And, as a bonus, you will also get 3-4 teacher shirts a year. How fun is that?!? Get your whole grade level team to join, and you can all wear your shirts on the same day 🙂 #teachersquad

Are the activities standard-based?
Yes, the activities provided are linked to the Common Core Learning standards. In fact, Kindergarten Crate has put so much thought into their monthly subscription boxes for teachers, that they even include a lesson plan printout for each activity. The lesson plan printouts show what materials are needed (materials are included in the box), how to complete the activity, and what standards the activity is linked to. That is amazing! This is going to save busy teachers so much time!
Fall Themed Centers
This month’s box is full of supplies and printables for Fall themed centers. You could extend the learning by integrating more center activities. For example, I would anchor the apple activities and read aloud with a poem of the week; 10 Little Apples. This poem is a part of the Fall Poems for Kids collection – perfect for building language, expression, and fluency. You can watch the Ten Little Apples video below.
