It’s time to help kids celebrate dads, stepdads, and grandpas with these fun Father’s Day gift ideas DIY cards, poems, and more.

3 DIY Father’s Day Cards

As a kindergarten teacher, and mom of two girls, I have found DIY father’s day gifts so much fun.

Our Fathers Day gifts, vary from year to year, but we always try to create some sort of homemade card and handprint crafts. A handprint card from kids of all ages is the perfect gift for the world’s greatest dad.

1.  Fish Handprint Card for Dad | I’m Hooked on Daddy

One of my husbands favorite gifts was the fish hand print card. He loves spending quality time fishing at the pond, and taking paddle boat rides with our youngest daughter.

A great Father’s Day fishing gift would be a cool fishing shirt rolled up in a tackle box. To top it off, pair it with kids hand prints for the perfect combination.

When Dad sees the homemade card from the kids that says “Hooked on Daddy”, he will reel them in for a big hug 🙂 Here is one we made a few years ago. Father’s Day crafts from younger kids is a thoughtful gift that require nothing more than a quick trip to the craft store and imagination.

Steps to Make Yoda Best Dad Card

If you didn’t catch the Father’s Day craft video above, you can watch it HERE.

First, I painted the girls’ palms green to resemble Yoda’s head.

Next, I helped them paint 4 fingers, excluding the thumb, which will be Yoda’s clothing. Once it dried, my oldest daughter and I used the fine-point sharpies to draw the outline and details to complete these Father’s Day crafts from kids.

3.  Handmade Golf Card for Father’s Day

If you follow my daily stories on Instagram, you already know how much of an avid golfer my husband is. And, while my oldest daughter wants nothing to do with golf, our youngest is on the golf team and loves every minute of it.

This is an easy diy father’s day gift for any skill level. For dad’s special day, add this foot print golf card to a gift basket full of golf items (see below) to make the perfect diy gift for father’s day.
