We rolled up our sleeves, cleared off a space on the kitchen table, washed our hands, and gathered the ingredients for this easy playdoh recipe. To begin, I put parchment paper down to protect the table and make for an easy cleanup for kids. Arts and crafts are often a little messy, but a necessary part of early childhood development.
Easy Shaving Cream Playdoh Recipe
- Corn Starch
- Shaving Cream
- Food Coloring
When I began kneading the homemade playdoh, I could tell I needed to make some adjustments.
The homemade playdoh was too crumbly. To fix it, I added a small amount of shaving cream, and continued kneading. The kneading process took about 5 minutes. While I was kneading, my daughter kept herself busy drawing in shaving cream on her little table.
Next up, we chose the color that we wanted to use while making this homemade playdogh recipe.
If you want to make multiple colors, you will need to make a separate batch for each color.
For the first batch, she wanted to make green shaving cream playdoh. She added a few drops of food coloring to the homemade playdoh. Note to self: don’t forget that food coloring will stain your hands and clothes, so be careful!
